My home districtMy home district is KOTTAYAM, the first fully literate district in INDIA.It is the publishing capital of Kerala. Five newspapers including The Deepika, first malayalam news paper and Malayala Manorama,largest circulated daily in Kerala, publish from here. Mangalam fast developing Malayalam daily has head quarters here. This is the district with most rubber plantations in Kerala. One of the first seeds of rubber in India sowed in my village Koottickal years ago, by the British.
