| My
native place is a small and beautiful village,
KOOTTICKAL, in the KOTTAYAM district
of KERALA state, INDIA I belong to
EDATHUMKUNNEL family of Koottickal. This is one of the oldest family of
our little beautiful village. My great grandfather came to Koottickal a
century back. He was settled at Erattupettah a near by place. His roots
were in TamilNadu. MY father's parents settled at Koottickal around
ninety years back. My grand father A.Asami Rawther was a merchant. My house is one of the oldest in our grama panchayath and nearby places. It is almost eighty years old. My village Koottickal is one of the most beautiful places in the world. It is situated in the shore of pullaka river. Two other small rivers join this river in the heart of Koottickal. It is actually 'triveny sangamam.' It is believed to be the largest rubber producing panchayath in Kottayam District. The old rubber factory in 'Kuttikul estate' is believed to be first in Asia. Koottickal has a rich history. Mr.Murphy a 'Brit' was the mastermind behind the development of Koottickal as a big market .It was a prosperous place till a decade ago. Now the story is not that good. My mother's native place is Peruvanthanam, a nearby panchayat in IDUKKI district. Mine is a border village between Kottayam and Idukki districts. My Father: A.A.Pareekutty. He is a happy retired merchant. Mother: K.K.Jameela. She is a house wife. Brothers SHANAVAS: He is working in Fushon resturant at Doha in Qatar. his wife is Jasmine .His daughter Riswana born on 2-1-1999. SHEMIR: He is with the Al-Marai co .,and is working at Yanbu al sinayiah,in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. SHEFEEK: He is a sub editor in Madhyamam daily,Kochi I am the second of the four brothers and Married. My spouse is Ms. Rasheela, daughterof Mr.T.U.Kabeer and Mrs.A.A.Sulaiha Thumpayil, Ettumanoor.She is a post graduatein commerce and a graduate in education. She is the second of four sisters. We tied knots on 23rd May,1999. |
